MARKETING TOOLKIT AS AN INTEGRATION RESOURCE FOR DEVELOPING THE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF TRADE ENTERPRISES UNDER DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this study is to substantiate the theoretical foundations for integrating marketing tools into the management system of trade enterprises under the conditions of digital transformation. Particular attention is devoted to identifying the role of marketing tools as an integrative resource capable of ensuring the coordination of managerial processes, supporting strategic development, and enhancing the adaptability and competitiveness of trade enterprises in a rapidly changing digital environment. Methodology. The study is based on the application of systemic, evolutionary, and resource-competence approaches, which made it possible to trace the changing role of marketing from a supporting sales function to a mechanism for coordinating strategic, information-analytical, customer-oriented, and digital processes. The combination of these methodological approaches provides a comprehensive framework for examining the interrelationships between managerial functions, digital technologies, and marketing activities, while allowing the evolution of marketing tools within enterprise management systems to be consistently analyzed. Findings. The content of the concept of "marketing tools" is clarified as an integrative resource for the development of an enterprise management system. A classification of marketing tools according to their managerial purpose is proposed, and the logic of their integration at the levels of data, processes, decision-making, customer interaction, and organizational learning is generalized. It is demonstrated that, for trade enterprises, the effectiveness of digitalization is determined not by the number of implemented technologies but by data compatibility, business process alignment, the distribution of responsibilities, and the ability to transform market information into managerial actions. The findings also emphasize that the successful integration of marketing tools contributes to strengthening managerial flexibility, improving the quality of strategic decision-making, and creating a unified information environment that supports sustainable enterprise development under conditions of digital transformation. Practical implications. The practical significance of the research findings lies in the possibility of applying the proposed architecture to assess the maturity of marketing tools management and to develop a roadmap for the digital transformation of a trade enterprise. The proposed approach may also serve as a methodological basis for improving management practices, evaluating the effectiveness of digital initiatives, optimizing customer-oriented business processes, and supporting the implementation of integrated marketing management solutions in modern trade enterprises.
