INNOVATIONS AS A FACTOR OF TRANSFORMATION OF OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to determine the impact of innovations on the operational activities of transport and logistics enterprises through the transformation of operational process parameters. Methodology of research. The research methodology is based on the application of systemic and process approaches, as well as methods of analysis, generalization, and systematization. The study takes into account the specifics of the operational activities of transport and logistics enterprises, which have a process-based, flow-oriented, and integrated nature and are implemented through interaction with other participants in logistics chains. Findings. The study establishes that the increasing complexity of logistics systems, the growing interdependence of processes, and the rising requirements for their coordination necessitate a transition from local improvement of individual operations to a comprehensive transformation of operational activities. It is substantiated that innovations should be considered as a factor of transformation of operational activities, manifested in changes in the methods of performing operations, the structure of operational processes, and the conditions of their implementation. It is determined that the impact of innovations is indirect and is realized through changes in the parameters of operational processes, in particular execution time, costs, reliability, flexibility, and controllability. It is shown that changes in these parameters ensure a reduction in the duration of the operational cycle, cost reduction, increased process coordination, and improved service quality, which collectively determine the level of operational efficiency. An approach to the systematization of innovations according to the directions of their impact on the parameters of operational processes is proposed, which involves distinguishing transformations in the methods of performing operations, the structure of processes, and the conditions of their implementation. Innovative solutions related to digitalization, automation, the use of data analytics, integration of information systems, implementation of intelligent transport systems, and flexible logistics solutions are specified, and their impact on the parameters of operational processes is determined. Practical value. The practical significance lies in the possibility of using the proposed approach to substantiate managerial decisions aimed at improving the efficiency of operational activities of transport and logistics enterprises, in particular through targeted influence on the parameters of operational processes and enhancing their level of coordination, speed, and reliability.
