HUMAN AND NATURE IN TOURISM STUDIES: A TRANSDISCIPLINARY DISCOURSE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to apply a transdisciplinary approach to the study of human-nature interaction processes in tourism studies. Methodology of research. The tasks set in the article were solved using general scientific methods: analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization. The principles of the concept of joint-separate relations were implemented. Practical value. The interaction of human and nature in tourism studies is important to consider from the point of view of the possibilities of using natural resources to provide tourism services to human and the consequences of such provision for the natural environment. Nature has a significant impact on tourist travels due to a number of factors: nature is a source of tourist natural resources for various types of tourism; climatic features determine seasonality in tourist services; nature affects tourist transport logistics; the presence of certain restrictions of a legislative or security nature in using of certain natural resources. Nature as a tourist resource significantly affects to the tourism economy at the appropriate level. The quantity, condition and diversity of natural resources determine the tourist specialization of the respective destination and affect to tourist potential. The tourist exploitation of natural resources should take into account their regenerative capacity. A transdisciplinary approach has been applied in tourism research into the processes of human-nature interaction, which is most evident in the context of the issues of sustainable tourism development. The practical significance of the research results. The article substantiates the view on the concept of sustainable tourism development as a strategic goal that ensures a balance between economic benefits, social stability and environmental responsibility in the post-war development of the domestic tourism industry. The main strategic guidelines for such development of the domestic tourism industry should be the restoration of infrastructure on the basis of sustainability, the restoration and expansion of natural and cultural heritage; comprehensive support for domestic tourism on the basis of public-private partnership; institutional integration of tourism into the country's recovery policy. Ukraine has sufficient resource potential to ensure the effective development of tourism, which is capable of becoming one of the drivers of the post-war recovery of the domestic economy.
