METHODOLOGICAL BASIS FOR MANAGING ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT
Abstract
The article is aimed at defining the theoretical and methodological foundations of enterprise risk management, studying the existing approaches to identification, analysis, assessment and minimisation of risks. Particular attention is paid to the development of tools and strategies that ensure effective risk management aimed at maintaining the stability of enterprises in difficult conditions of market uncertainty. The article emphasises the need to adapt risk management to modern challenges, such as globalisation, technological change and increased competition. Results obtained. The article systemises the methods of risk management, which are divided into legal, administrative, economic, social, psychological, industrial and scientific and applied ones. The importance of a proactive approach to risk management, which is aimed at preventing and minimising their impact, is substantiated. The main stages of the risk management process are described, including identification, analysis, assessment and development of response measures. The importance of monitoring and control as elements that ensure the flexibility and adaptation of the enterprise to risks is determined. The article also highlights the effectiveness of using modern risk assessment tools, such as scenario analysis, simulation modelling and financial valuation methods. The research methodology is based on an integrated approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. The practical significance of the article lies in the possibility of applying the obtained results to improve the risk management system at enterprises. The use of the proposed approaches and methods allows enterprises to reduce the impact of negative factors, minimise financial losses and ensure stable functioning even in crisis conditions. Recommendations on the integration of proactive and reactive risk management strategies contribute to improving the efficiency of business processes, strengthening the competitiveness of enterprises and their sustainable development. The study also provides practical recommendations for the implementation of modern risk management tools that take into account the specifics of enterprises in various industries. The use of scenario analysis, simulation modelling, financial calculations and other tools helps to predict risks, optimise resources and make strategic decisions. This ensures the flexibility of enterprises in changing market conditions and contributes to their readiness for external and internal challenges. In general, the article offers evidence-based approaches that can be integrated into risk management practices, which will allow enterprises to achieve their goals by overcoming risks and threats in a dynamic environment.
