Abstract

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the policy components and elements of the management strategy of sustainable food systems. Methodology of research. The theoretical basis of the research is the fundamental provisions and concepts of the formation and development of food systems, modern economic theory, which defines the goals and laws of sustainable development, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists on the management of food systems. The methodological basis of the research is the dialectical method and general scientific and special methods of scientific knowledge. The following methods of economic research were used in the research process: abstract-logical (formation of principles, theoretical generalizations and conclusions); historical (with the researched evolution of the formation of the concept of sustainable development of food systems); monographic (study of modern scientific opinion on the problems of managing stable food systems); terminological analysis and operationalization of concepts (research of conceptual approaches to the interpretation of the concepts of "food system", "sustainable food system" and definition of the essence of categories); direct analysis and synthesis (systematization of determinants of influence of social, economic and environmental blocks). Findings. A critical analysis of domestic and foreign scientific literature on the researched issue allowed: first, to systematize the results, problems and challenges of the global food system; secondly, to determine the main elements of the food system and its connection with the socio-economic and ecological drivers that form the socio-economic and ecological result of the system's activity; thirdly, the main elements of the economic, social and ecological spheres of the sustainable food system are systematized; fourthly, the main components of the transformation of the policy and strategy of food systems management in the global dimension are substantiated. Practical value. Reasoned main policy components and elements of the sustainable food systems management strategy are the basis for the development and implementation of national and regional programs for the sustainable development of food systems to ensure the economic and food security of the country.
